Understanding dementia – Saturday, 2nd November 2024,
1330-1600hrs
This Understanding Dementia session is for all who are interested in learning more about dementia, how to support people affected by it and enabling carers to feel more confident about caring for someone living with dementia.
In this session, we think about what physical changes may be behind the experience of dementia; how people may be feeling, how their thinking, memory and relationships may be affected. We consider how we can support them through good communication, understanding their needs and a sense of reality.
